Like a duck to water

By Lorna Catling

Apologies for the lack of recent blogs – I unfortunately injured something in my thigh and I havn’t been able to run for a couple of weeks.

I’m not exactly sure what I did but I went for an easy run a couple of weeks ago and ran into a wall (don’t ask, I’m very accident prone) and after that I had a bit of a twinge.

Stupidly, I kept running on it until I could hardly walk, which with hindsight wasn’t a very smart move.

Anyway, I rested it and it’s started to feel a lot better so last night I went for a swim.

I’m hoping that if I swim for the next week it will keep my fitness up and I’ll be able to start running again where I left off – still on track for Bracknell Half Marathon.

Has anyone else had their training put back because of injury? I’d love to hear your comments if you have.
