Roadworks - why so long!?

I have a question..

Why is it going to take until December 2009 to finish the Coppid Beech roundabout expansion/improvement/unnecessary extra traffic lights?

Honestly, I think I have seen people 'working' on the site maybe twice
since they started, and I go through the junction everyday to work.

I'm pretty convinced a solid 9-5 working day could have it all finished in two weeks! So why on earth is/has it taken so long?

Surely its just a case of widening a bit of tarmac, levelling it and
sticking some traffic lights in (and why do we even need more traffic
lights there?).

And what is the betting that when it is all done, they won't re-surface the rest of that section of the London Road?

Those roadworks..
Nearly 10 days on and little progress from my previous blog entry.Mind you they have re-surfaced the road.Well a bit of it anyway.Felt a bit sorry for those coming into Bracknell who were queueing back to the A329m.There really isn't any need!
