Weather - All clear!

Welcome to a superb blue-sky Friday in Cape Town!

As I await England’s clash with Algeria at the Green Point Stadium the weather is great.

Yesterday there were no clouds in the sky and not even a breath of wind at the summit of Table Mountain overlooking the stadium.

And that’s the prediction for all of the match day – and by evening kick-off time (7.30pm UK time) it will be crisp and clear.

Table Mountain overlooking Cape Town

England players flew in to the Western Cape yesterday and saw for the first time the dramatic scenery of Cape Town.

It was 15C during the day … but in the distance the team had flown in over snow-capped mountains.

Such is the contrast in weather conditions here, locals say you can witness four seasons in one day!

Tens of thousands of England fans have converged on this great city and are looking forward to tomorrow’s make or break match with Algeria.

Come on England!

Next blog, A once in a lifetime trip to the Cape of Good Hope and also...

Reaction to the game against Alergia and blogs on the Cape Town townships and Table Mountain to come soon.
